Hola! I’m Katie, the graphic designer and solo mama behind Mundo Littles.

I'm from North Carolina, USA, but currently in Colombia, South America, with my two-year-old son, navigating the beautiful chaos of raising a child between cultures and languages.

My son attends a Colombian preschool where he is fully immersed in Spanish. (He is on his way to becoming bilingual. Me, on the other hand? I'm still learning, and it isn't easy!)

The idea for Mundo Littles came to me while I was shopping for him here in Colombia. I noticed that almost every cool t-shirt I found was printed in English. It made me realize that families raising bilingual kids (whether expats like me, or immigrants in the US) often struggle to find modern, fun clothes that celebrate their language.

I wanted shirts that honored traditional songs, poems, nursery rhymes, and the words we love, but with a design style that felt fresh and unique.

Since I didn't grow up speaking Spanish or Portuguese, I knew I needed to get the details right.

  • Designed by Mom: Every graphic is created by me in my home studio, inspired by the songs we sing and the words we learn every day.

  • Verified by Locals: I've consulted with native speakers from multiple countries (including my son’s own preschool teacher!) for many of my designs.

Mundo Littles is for the families who are:

  • Living between worlds and want to embrace their journey.

  • Raising bilingual kids and want to celebrate their heritage.

  • Just like me- learning, growing, and raising a global citizen one day (and one word) at a time.

Our Promise We choose printers who produce high-quality, eco-friendly items. I am a mom first, and would only sell what I would put on my own child.
